A Tribute to Oliver Mtukudzi (1952-2019)
Remembering + Celebrating ‘Tuku’

Oliver Mtukudzi, who died last month at age 66 of complications from diabetes, was a legend of the Zimbabwean music scene. Fondly known as ‘Tuku,’ he was a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and celebrated as much for the messages in his lyrics as for the distinctive musical style that became known as ‘Tuku Music.’
