In April, Misa Tariro comes fully to life. Kutandara is deeply honored to join the Boulder Chorale in this landmark collaboration, presented as part of the Chorale’s 60th anniversary season. After months of preparation, what began as a shared vision is now a living, breathing musical experience—bringing together voices, marimbas, and traditions in a powerful expression of hope and connection.
Composed by Randy McIntosh, Misa Tariro weaves Zimbabwean musical traditions with Western choral form, creating a work that feels both expansive and deeply rooted. To experience it live is to witness music as a meeting place—where cultures stand side by side, where rhythm and voice carry shared meaning, and where community is not just represented, but felt.
We invite you to join us for this special performance on April 17 and 18, and to be part of an evening that reflects the very heart of Kutandara’s mission: music grounded in relationship, offered in community, and alive with possibility.

We’ve always got something new going on! And we want YOU to join us – to find out if we are what your life has been missing! So many people have had a transformative experience at Kutandara…will you be one of them?
